'The Rapture: When the Church Meets Its King' Part 3 This study continues a series on the rapture of the Church, drawing primarily on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. The rapture is a separate event from the visible return of Jesus Christ to earth. Jesus will come in the air to gather His Church; the resurrected believers and the living believers will be transformed "in the twinkling of an eye," and then all will meet the Lord to be with Him forever. This event is a source of hope, comfort, and joy for Christians. The message details the main stages of the rapture: • The Lord will descend from heaven; • An archangel will announce His arrival; • The trumpet of God will sound; • The dead in Christ will be resurrected; • The living believers will be transformed and raptured; • All will be reunited with Jesus for eternity. And presents the three main Gospel interpretations concerning the timing of the rapture: • pretribulationist: before the tribulation; • midtribulationist: in the middle of the tribulation; • posttribulationist: at the end of the tribulation. A brief overview of the arguments and criticisms of each. These three positions are held by Christians, and the common thread remains the certainty of Christ's return.
