Stanley 5 1/2 Hand Plane Restoration
I have been wanting to do some larger projects which would require a longer plane to surface panels. I have this one and another Stanley #6.The funny thing is later I realized I have a couple already that would work. I set out to do a quick restoration, but it ended up taking a little longer than expected. This seems to always be the case. Anyway, I got it all cleaned up and working really nicely right away. This is actually a very satisfying process and I want to do some more. .
