The Paris Court of Appeal handed down its conviction of Marine Le Pen on Tuesday afternoon for misappropriation of public funds. Her sentence of three years in prison, two of which are suspended, and a 45-month ban from holding public office, 30 months of which are suspended, may allow her to run in the presidential election. However, the court had ruled out this option if she were sentenced to wear an electronic tag, which is the case. She may announce her decision at 8 p.m. on TF1.
