Lawyer Katrina Legarda's take on issues on Grace Poe residency, citizenship
Atty. Katrina Legarda, U.P. College of Law professor and a consultant on children's issues, disputes David's allegation. Legarda says Poe began living in the country as early as 2005 after her father died and therefore has already fulfilled much more than the 2-year residency required before 2013. She adds residency should not be confused with citizenship. Poe lost her U.S. citizenship in 2010 but because of delays, the legal document only came out in 2012.
