Tom Dowd: Grammy Award Winner & Legendary Music Producer
Tom Dowd won a long overdue Grammy Award for Excellence in Music this year. He was one of the prime innovators in music recording. During a career spanning more than fifty years. Tom helped shape the sound of many of the legends of music from Charlie Park, John Coltrane, Ray Charles and Bobby Darin to Aretha Franklin, The Allman Brothers and Eric Clapton. We had the pleasure of spending some time with him in the studio and talking to him about how a unique sound is created. Tom is featured in the excellent documentary, "The Rhythm of Sound".
