Sergio Marchionne (Chieti, June 17, 1952 – Zurich, July 25, 2018) was an Italian-born Canadian business executive. He is internationally renowned for leading the profound transformation of FIAT. He held important roles within the Fiat Group: he was CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., FCA Italy, and FCA US, of which he was also Chairman. He was also Chairman of CNH Industrial N.V. and Ferrari N.V., as well as Chairman and CEO of Ferrari S.p.A. In 2011, he was ranked among the world's most influential people. He was also Vice Chairman of Exor S.p.A. and a permanent member of the Giovanni Agnelli Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACEA (the Italian Automobile Manufacturers' Association) for 2012, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Peterson Institute for International Economics, as well as co-chairman of the Council for Relations between Italy and the United States.
