Ozo is the handsome, light-skinned young man on the Big Brother Naija Season 5 reality show that was pinning after the beautiful Nengi Hampson. His story in the house majorly revolved around him being turned down repeatedly by his love interest. However, there is more to this young man than just rejected love. The Season 5 BBNaija was held from 19 July to 27 September 2020. Number 10. Ozo was born on 4th August 1992 as Ozoemena Joseph Chukwu. He is 28 years old at the time of making this video. Ozo was 27 years old when he entered the BBNaija Season 5 Lockdown house, and he celebrated his birthday during the show. It was during this birthday that we got a glimpse into the kind of family that he came from. Number 9. Ex-BBNaija’s Ozo comes from a family of highly educated intellectuals. He is an only son and he has three sisters. His father is a medical doctor while his mother is a professor at a Nigerian higher institution. His sisters are also all graduates with two of them having medical degrees while one is a practising lawyer. Number 8. Ozo obtained a first-class bachelor’s degree in economics and cybernetics from the Riga Technical University, in Latvia. This European institution is popular for its high quality and internationally competitive education. Number 7. One would be mistaken to think that Ozo is an all-bookish, awkward young man. His professional interest lies in sports, specifically football. During his time in Latvia, he underwent training at a professional football scouts association. He then became a professional football scout after he concluded his training with the association. Number 6. Before moving to Latvia to further his education, Ozoemena Joseph Chukwu worked as a high school teacher and football coach between November 2014 and October 2015. During this time, he was working for the Federal Government of Nigeria and Rangers Football Club. In Latvia, he was a player scout for FS METTA/Latvijas Universitate (University of Latvia), a Latvian football team. He worked as a scout for two months in 2017. Number 5. Do you know what was Ozo’s biggest achievement before entering the Big Brother Naija house? In an interview with Africa Magic, he revealed that he had done a stint with the UEFA Federation. This is the administrative body for association football, futsal and beach soccer in Europe. Anyone with an idea about football will understand how big of a deal this is. Ozo himself is quoted as saying: “It was a job I took great pride in and enjoyed doing.” Number 4. Ozo was part of the 20 housemates that entered the BBNaija season 5 House on the first day of the reality show. His good looks and apparent humility endeared him to viewers allowing him to build a fanbase. Many of his fellow housemates also appeared to like him. As mentioned in the opening, the light-skinned beauty, Nengi, quickly took his fancy. While his fans were rooting for a relationship between the two of them, even coining the OZONE moniker for ozo and nengi, it was not to be. Number 3. Ozo still managed to pull some weight in the house despite unreciprocated love for Nengi. He won the Head of House games twice (one of the few housemates to accomplish that). Ozo also won the popular Innoson car challenge of the show’s edition. This brings us to fact number 2: Ozo was evicted on the 63rd day of the competition – 20 September 2020. He was booted out of Biggie’s house along with Trikytee. They were the last housemates to leave the show before the finals. Ozo had been up against heavyweights - Laycon and Dorathy - during that eviction stage. He had little chance of surviving it. Number 1. Ozo appeared to be one of the few housemates that had not been on the show for fame. In fact, it seems he had just been there for the prize money and other prizes that came with it. This likely explains why he did not participate in doing media rounds nor leveraged on the fans he had made in the house. Additionally, The Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ozo, was signed as the Brand Manager of Juventus Academy in Nigeria.
