Dewalt DCD995 Chuck Replacement

This video shows how to remove an insanely hard to remove DCD995 cobalt tipped drill chuck. These cobalt tips cause spalling and damage to average hardness drill bits. The spalling cause the drill to not run concentric unless filed off. Removing this chuck to install a non cobalt chuck was the goal. The chuck was so tight on the spindle it appears to be bonded via Van Der Waals forces as the metal to metal contact was so tight!! I could not find the special tool that fits a socket to a D shaped socket head which matches the hardened drill chuck spindle. Watch how we remove it here!
