Art in Isolation: Chantal Akerman’s “From the East”
Following the collapse of the Berlin Wall, Belgium born filmmaker Chantal Akerman (1950 - 2015) jumped at the opportunity to create a documentary film focused on a grand journey across Eastern Europe.
