weird times for high fashion (but still fun) - Milan fashion week
it has been a weird fashion week, the world in general is getting very weird. are still people connecting with each other or our values are too polarized? fashion can’t be fun if the world is not fun. it can’t be exciting if our future is not exciting. fashion is an art but is also a product. who could buy fun expensive clothes if you can’t buy what you used to be able to. the runways were sober, looking pre or post war with a touch of flowers alluding to that hippy protest side. the materials were thick for the cold and the structures were rigid. hairs were undone because there’s no time for that. who cares being a cool looking girl if you don't have a cool mind right now? but then... fashion can be the fun part if the world isn't, right? not as a distraction but yet as a way to express ourselves in front of a grey background. a way to find joy in when it's difficult to find playfulness. aaaand high fashion changing directions or... they can't choose one. this Milan fashion week I decided to stick with the shows of the brands that I work regularly with because with my new project I don't have the energy to do more. thank you Prada, MM6 Maison Margiela, Valentino, Moschino and Dolce&Gabbana for trusting me and having me year after year, I really love you and everything that I do with you. I'm really thankful for everything. all my love also to my agent Fabrizzio and my wonderful assisting and glam team, David and Bosco. instagram & tiktok, clakovi credits, filmed by David Sobrino and Clara Kong creative direction and editing by Clara Kong
