It's Sonicake's version of a pedal that emulates the iconic (and very expensive) Klon Centaur guitar pedals. With 3 different types of overdrives in one mini stomp box - how does a £40 guitar pedal compare to a £6000 pedal? Unfortunately I don't have a Klon centaur pedal with me... So I can't compare - but I can demo the tones you can expect from the Sonicake Trio Rider. I actually think this pedal sounds great - so easy to use with just a volume, tone, gain and switch to flick between the 3 modes. I used this just in front of a basic clean tone on my computer with all the EQ on the amp basically at 12 o clock. I actually think this pedal would sound even better plugged into a real guitar amp (especially valve) and cranked up. Maybe one day I'll get to test that out!
