#comicbookcommunity #comiccollecting #comickeys My viewers asked the following questions, which I'll answer in this video: 1 - If you believe in collecting the book, not the grade & you don't seem to mind buying lower graded books...why bother buying graded (instead of raw) books at all ? 2 - Would you rather have a hi-grade raw book, or a low grade graded book? I'm not a lifelong comic collector but I've always enjoyed comics. I've noticed that the paper grade for older comics are very similar to newspaper. Also, the covers were a thin glossy paper up until about the '90s. The covers seemed about the same but the interior pages seemed like a little higher grade of newspaper. Now, the covers seem to be a thin cardstock and the pages are all glossy. When and why were these changes made? I would think that the higher paper grade would only add to production costs. what cool ACG comics do you have? The YouTube channel "grails to astonish" is in development of an AI grading app. What's your opinion on the effect this could have on 3rd party grading companies? You seem to have so many books that are not easily accessible and that you probably haven't taken out to look at in months, if not years. I have two lines of thought based on this observation: 1.) What are your thoughts about owning things that are hidden away, and that you never really get to enjoy in a practical sense? Do you ever consider the materialistic aspects of collecting just to, in a sense, own things? 2.) What are some practical considerations that you think you could do to make your collection more physically accessible, other than, say, buying a bigger house? Are you working on becoming more organized? Have you ever thought of downsizing? Another question: I saw you show the first comic that had the comic code authority stamp, Archie’s Joke Book.
