Acquiring Captive Bred Russian Tortoises

Earlier in the afternoon I spotted Natasha my female Russian tortoise digging a nest to lay eggs in. She had finished by early evening and had covered them up so well that had I not seen her nesting i would have never found the eggs. I will artificially incubate them with the other 6 eggs I gathered from her first nest on June 3 , 2020 which I am keeping at 85 F thermostatically controlled. Tonight I noticed 2 of my adult box turtles digging nests so I may have more box turtle eggs in the morning to add to the 53 box turtle eggs I am artificially incubating. The eggs if left in my enclosure would most likely never successfully hatch because of ants and possibly over heating in the summer time. If I am successful I will rehome or sell my captive bred turtles this early fall or winter after I have them feeding in an excellent manner. Be sure to comment if you have any questions and give a thumbs up if you like my video on digging up Russian tortoise eggs.
