Kalonzo claims plan to unleash goons ahead of June 25 demos

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is now claiming that the government is planning to unleash goons on Kenyans who will turn up for the June 25 anniversary. Kalonzo, who was speaking in Makueni, called on the National Police Service to abide by the law, saying the opposition is keenly watching events in the run-up to the Thursday demonstrations. And as Stephen Letoo reports, the ODM leadership has once again called on all its supporters to keep off the streets, accusing the organisers of hijacking the anniversary commemoration.
