Exploring the Florence Mine in Goldfield NV!
Jon Aurich invited us up to Goldfield to explore the Florence Mine. Not just the surrounding buildings, but also the depths of the mine. The winch house, foundry, and parts of the mill are still intact. The mind was orignally 1,650 feet deep but is now flooded to somewhere between 400 and 500 feet. Some if its richest gold produced 2,800 ounces per ton of ore! That makes this mine one of the richest mines ever.
