Chief of Staff of the Army Visits Al-Kut Air Base and the Army Aviation College, Reviewing Duty Operations and Combat Readiness On Monday, June 22, 2026, the Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, accompanied by his Deputy for Operations, the Commander of the Ground Forces, the Commander of the Army Aviation, the Director of Military Intelligence, and the Secretary of Intelligence for the Army Chief of Staff, visited Al-Kut Air Base and the Army Aviation College. They were received by the base commander and several staff officers who briefed them on the level of combat and administrative readiness of the base's various units, as well as the progress of operations and assigned tasks. In the second stop of his visit, the Chief of Staff proceeded to the Army Aviation College. Upon his arrival, the college dean and wing commanders provided a detailed explanation of the courses offered, the approved training curricula, and the main obstacles hindering operations, along with proposed solutions to ensure improved training and qualification levels. During the visit, His Excellency stressed the importance of maintaining the highest levels of readiness and continuing to develop military and technical capabilities, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the armed forces and raising their performance level to carry out their national duties efficiently and effectively, praising the efforts made by the members of the base and the college in performing their tasks and responsibilities.
