By integrating laboratory core data, the team established specific T2 cutoffs that deviate from standard industry values to better reflect the unique properties of chalk formations. Their methodology involved comparing wells drilled with both oil-based and water-based muds to validate the accuracy of their saturation and porosity measurements. Ultimately, the study highlights that combining multiple data sources allows for high-confidence reservoir evaluation even when drilling conditions vary. This comprehensive approach ensures that residual oil and formation properties are accurately identified despite significant invasion by drilling fluids.
