Summer Steam 2025 Pt.1: Names, Trains & Automobiles - Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway
It's that time of year once again and we are happy to show you how the first day of our Summer Steam weekend went. it was filled with many busy trains, miniature vehicle rides and visit from the East Coast Classic Car & Motorcycle Club, filling Lakeside Station car park with many classic cars and a returning vintage Dennis bus from last year. We welcomed Anne from the Perrygrove Railway Adventure as our guest locomotive and she ran smoothly along side Bonnie Dundee & No.24. we also celebrated the life of Geoff Matthews, an Ex-British Railways driver on steam locomotives, Deltics and HSTs before retiring and coming to cleethorpes to drive our wonderful steam locomotives. No.24 was named in memory of Geoff and his wonderful nicknames he gave the locomotive. Thumbnail: Simon Mulligan
