No Tyres to Waste at Le Mans | 6H Bongo Racing LMGT3 Team Race (LMU)

6 hours at Le Mans with Bongo Racing in the Porsche 992 GT3R LMGT3. This is a special event team race with Hypercars, LMP2s, and LMGT3s all sharing the track through a full day-night-day cycle. Practice has been solid. I can run consistent high 4:00s and low 4:01s, with expected race pace around high 4:01s to low 4:02s. But the real challenge is not just pace — it is making the tyres last. We only have 16 tyres for the full event, with 9 stints planned, so double-stinting is not optional. The job is to keep it smooth, avoid unnecessary fights, manage traffic, and not burn the car or tyres before the race comes back to us. I’ll be driving stints 2, 3, 6 and 7, teamed up with Bob in one of the Bongo Racing cars.
