An 1800s Farm with Wild, Overgrown Back Acres | Day 1 of 2

This property in New Hartford, CT has been a working farm since the early 1800s. While the main farm is still intact and visible in the video, the back acres had been left alone long enough for nature to completely take over. Dense vines and multiflora rose had turned the edges of this historic property into an impenetrable tangle — and on a grey, rainy day we headed in to start taking it back. Day 1 of 2 — roughly half an acre cleared, with more to come. No hauling. No burning. No mess left behind — just mulch. 🌲 Day 2 coming soon — subscribe so you don't miss the finish! — What We Did — ✅ Cleared approximately half an acre of dense vines and multiflora rose ✅ Reclaimed the wild back acres of a historic Connecticut farm ✅ Preserved the surrounding mature tree line throughout — Equipment Used — 🚜 Excavator: Kubota KX040-4 ⚙️ Mulcher Head: Indeco IMH4 📋 Jobber (14-day free trial + special discount): https://go.getjobber.com/thirdhand — About Third Hand Earthworks — We specialize in small to medium forestry mulching, invasive species control, trailblazing, tick habitat reduction, stump removal, fence line clearing, overgrown lot reclamation, brush clearing, and general land management in Northwestern Connecticut.
