Peer Support and Youth Mental Health - This Is Real | Haylee Bass | TEDxYouth@CherryCreek
The solution to the youth mental health crisis starts with our youth. Our youth are most influenced by their peers. Most of the time, they tell their peers the most about what is going on in their life and their mental state. The first method to help youth struggling with their mental health should be through their peers as they will be able to produce the strongest starting impact. I was born and raised in Colorado. My family and friends have inspired me to have my personal mission of positively impacting people through my everyday actions. In my opinion, giving a Tedx talk goes along with this mission so I have wanted to give one for a long time. The main topic I have wanted to talk about is the mental health of our youth. This is due to my own mental health struggles in the past. I am very passionate about the topic and want to help as many people as I can get through their mental health struggles. I believe giving a Tedx talk can spread a positive message about this throughout the world and that is my goal. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
