Diddy Kong Racing's Krunch -- Designing For Frustration

Diddy Kong Racing is just fantastic across the board. Also Krunch is here. While I love the character on the basis of being a Kremling, Krunch is almost tragically shafted by not just his base mechanics, but by Diddy Kong Racing’s design as a whole. A combination of pacing, track design, and his strengths simply not coming together until it’s FAR too late make him one of the most endearingly outclassed and frustrating characters to play in any racer.
