Farmers make special request to PM Modi as harvest season of Red Gold Saffron springs up in Kashmir
The harvest season for Kashmir’s red gold saffron has commenced in Pulwama and other districts. Kashmir saffron, renowned for its distinct color and aroma, is considered among world's best and is a major contributor to region's economy. Farmers requested Prime Minister Modi to become the global Brand Ambassador of Kashmir's Saffron. They want PM Modi to showcase Kashmir's saffron to international leaders, boosting its global recognition and demand. Saffron growers are optimistic about the new govt as they are looking forward to improved irrigation facilities and construction restrictions on saffron fields. Government has implemented schemes like Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) to promote efficient water use and micro-irrigation on saffron fields. #saffron #narendramodi #kashmir Join ANI's YouTube membership to get access to perks: / @aninewsindia Subscribe now and press the bell icon 🔔 to get new video updates: https://bit.ly/2UV4ygi -------------------------------------- ANI is South Asia's leading Multimedia News Agency providing content for every information platform, including TV, Internet, broadband, newspapers, and mobiles.
