Cinema at home: Interview with the Vampire - recreating MGM cinema 1995 intro reel
One more Halloween treat - a trip to see Interview with the Vampire at an MGM cinema in January 1995. MGM took over the Cannon chain when they went under in the early 90s, and rebranded their cinemas (including a number of very new multiplexes). MGM Cinemas had a relatively short life, themselves being taken over by Virgin later in 1995. Anyway, this was another great year for films, as represented in the trailers (though I don't think Demon Knight had a huge release - perhaps it struggled to find an audience without the TV show being that big a deal over here?) Special thanks to @FTDepot and @35mmMovieTrailersScans for select trailers. 00:00 Welcome to MGM Cinemas 01:15 Pearl & Dean ads 06:22 Trailers: Tales from the Crypt Demon Knight, Natural Born Killers, Leon, Shallow Grave 14:59 Intermission 17:29 Disclosure trailer 19:37 Dolby Digital / BBFC logos
