I have decided to build the OpenTorque actuator, developed by Gabrael Levine (https://hackaday.io/project/159404-op.... I changed the design slightly to adapt for my hardware (bearings and 3D printer). The idea is to test Quasi Direct Drive reducer (reducer with the large air gap and low reduction ratio below 10). In this video I have build this reducer and tested that it works. In the next video I will test it and check how applicable it is for the robot arm.
