Didcot Four Castles Event - 4th March 2023

Saturday 4th March saw Didcot play host to visiting castle class locomotives 7029 ‘Clun Castle’ and 5043 ‘Earl of Mount Edgcumbe’ from Vintage Trains LTD. Bringing an excursion from Birmingham to Didcot Parkway, the two castles stable their coaches near the power station before heading into Didcot Railway Centre where they line up with classmates 4079 ‘Pendennis Castle’ and 5051 ‘Earl Bathurst / Drysllwyn Castle’ Was a lovely day for it, and nice to see both Clun Castle and Earl of Mount Edgecumbe outside their usual territory, was a bonus to see them come with an excursion.
