He does, however, also work in other genres. In addition to Persian, he writes in Urdu and Punjabi. The distinctive way he employs conventional phrases and language in his poetry makes it easily approachable to the majority of people in the area. Urdu, Persian, and Punjabi poet Anwar Masood is also a popular comic poet in Pakistan. He began his career as an instructor at Kunjah, Punjab's Government Islamia High School, and he retired in 1968. 1961 saw him graduate from Punjab University's Oriental College with a master's degree. At Punjab University in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, he won the gold medal in the MA Persian program. He was awarded the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 1999 and Award in Mushaira zinda dilan, Dubai. Masood is a multilingual poet of Urdu Persian and Punjabi. His poetry gives the message of the original and pure culture of Pakistan. Masood is a unique poet who is popular among the masses.
