Sooner or later, we're forced to shape our plants. Sometimes they've fallen over and gotten damaged, becoming crooked and unstable. Other times, there's simply not enough light, and the houseplant is growing crooked. In my case, the supplemental lighting was turned off for the summer, and there was very little light coming from the windows. Young crassulas began to stretch and lean toward the light. The stems were still soft, and they began to lean quite significantly. Regularly turning them toward the light isn't always possible, just as the tree doesn't stand upright on every side. The reason is that the branches began to grow unevenly, causing it to topple over. I had to trim the shoots and shape it into a kind of bonsai.
