Tulaja Fort | Amazing Tourist Places in Soon Valley, Khushab, Pakistan

Tulaja Fort is located on a big rock in Nowshera Tehsil of Khushab District. It is believed to be a 5000 year old fort. According to local traditions, this fort was built five thousand years ago. Historically, this style of fort is also associated with Jalaluddin Khwarazmi, who took refuge in this valley to escape from Genghis Khan. The evidence does not support this tradition, According to the preliminary research of the archaeologists, it has been revealed that the construction of this fort cannot be connected to 5,000 years ago due to the construction style of the houses, the size of the stones used, the distribution of different parts of the population and the level. But the scattered human remains indicate that there were Muslims living here who were using the place as their abode before the arrival of Jalaluddin Khwarazmi. Tulaja is the name of a top of a mountain on which there are ruins of old palaces. This place is located near Khura in the east at a distance of about 6 kilometres. The track to reach this mountain is very difficult because one has to walk through a dense forest. Jalal ad-Din Khwarazmshah came to this place in order to find shelter while escaping from the forces of Mongols. Here, while in exile, he established this city as a temporary shelter and spent some years.
