Exactly a year ago, we began renovating our 400-year-old house in northern Spain. With no construction experience, but big dreams. The house has been unoccupied for the past seven years and requires a complete overhaul, so over the past year, we replaced the floor and supporting beams. We cleaned and reinforced the stone walls, replaced the windows, and built a new front wall. We insulated the house, as local houses lack it altogether.
