Syrcus Tower POV: Gladiator/Paladin (Tank) Bosses Scylla 2:50 Three types of orbs will attach to players. The lightning orbs need to be pulled into the lighthing pillars. Ice orbs will turn their target into ice. Fire orbs need to be run into frozen players. When fire hits ice it creates a pool, this pool will decrease fire damage taken when standing in it. If an ice orb goes off in a pool, it will turn everyone standing in it to ice. Boss will summon staffs, which will do AOE's, these are to be ignored and their AOE's dodged. Boss will cast Ancient Flare, this is when you want to stand in the pools created by the ice and fire. Glasya Labolas 7:18 Will target players with a ground AOE, move out of the area. Will use a random target frontal cone attack, dodge this. Will summon mechanical bits which will have a small field around them, they will be invincible until someone moves into the field. That player will be stunned until the bit is killed. Current state of boss, burn and dodge. Mechanics do not matter for this fight, he dies too quickly. Amon 10:30 DPS needs to kill all adds in this fight. Summons slimes at 3 points in room, these slimes will move toward boss and if they reach him the entire raid will be silenced. Kill the slimes, they can be stunned. Boss will summon adds and small purple orbs will link to some players. The balls are to be run into these adds, it will shrink them making them easier to kill. Boss will summon snakes and turn some players into frogs. The snakes will hunt the frogs, so the players turned should run from the snakes. Frogs can break players frozen in ice out. Boss will target players and turn them into ice. This will happen once before Curtain Call. Curtain call is a death mechanic. If you get hit, you will die. To avoid this, move behind the players who are turned to ice. Do this as soon as you notice curtain call, or more likely, when you notice everyone else running to hide. You cannot survive this damage. Xande 14:05 2 phases, boss and comet. When boss is in the ring, he'll use a frontal line aoe, a point blank aoe, and a ground target AOE. There will be a point where he'll summon yellow circles on the ground and players need to run and stand in them. (this is colloquially known as "stand in the pee circles") When the bosses life drops by approx 1/3 he will teleport away. The first time he does this, 4 comet fall beacons appear, the outer ones will fall faster so should die first. The second time he does, there will be 7, same order of killing. After the comet falls are killed boss will teleport back. He will immediately target 3 players with a targetted AOE, those targetted should not stack on each other. All the other players need to stack on them, as the damage gets shared by all people hit. Meaning 1-3 people will die but 4 or more will spread enough damage to keep everyone alive. After the AOE goes off it creates a pocket of float players should stack in these locations. The boss will cast Ancient Quakega, which will deal heavy damage to anyone not standing in the float. Immediately after this goes off all players need to move, as many ground targetted AOE will go out. This repeats again at approximately 20-33% depending on the raid DPS. I have played FFXIV since beta. I enjoy teaching people the content in a relaxed manner. I'm not perfect but I try my best. I hope you can use this video to figure some stuff out!
