MacNeil of Barra's March, pibroch or ceòl mór on the clàrsach or Gaelic harp

This is the pibroch Spadsaireachd Bharraigh (MacNeil of Barra's March), played on the replica medieval West Highland or Hebridean clàrsach. I was in Barra this past weekend and played this tune in Kisimul Castle for the scholars at the Island Castles Conference, including Rory Macneil the Macneil of Barra. For more info see my blog post at http://simonchadwick.net/2015/09/play... I worked from Donald MacDonald's manuscript score, c.1820. There are two MacNeil of Barra pibroch tunes; this one is PS 008, usually called (wrongly I believe), "The Pride of Barra". See http://simonchadwick.net/2015/05/macn... for my analysis. I am not entirely happy with this video, the tuning of the harp is a bit wild, and there are some distracting noises off at one point, but there you go. I wanted to Youtube it while it is up and running and before I embark on another of my crazy harp restringing experiments.
