In this episode of MEET YOUR ART "INSIGHT," art critic and anatomist Hidetoshi Fuse discusses Léonard Foujita (Tsuguharu Foujita), renowned as Japan's greatest and greatest painter. ◾︎Hidetoshi Fuse Art Critic and Anatomist Born in Gunma Prefecture in 1960. He specialized in anatomy at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. At the age of 27, he published "Dissection Time," co-authored with anatomist Takeshi Yoro. Since then, he has used his knowledge of anatomy as a foundation to publish numerous books on art and subculture, including "The Art Museum in the Brain" (Chikuma Gakugei Bunko) and "A Journey Through Cave Paintings" (Ronsousakusha). He currently teaches at his alma mater, Tokyo University of the Arts, where his unique lectures are popular with students.
