Section 15 (1) of the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG) states: "Employees are obligated to take care of their own safety and health at work to the best of their ability and in accordance with the instructions and directions of their employer. In accordance with sentence 1, employees are also responsible for the safety and health of persons who may be affected by their actions or omissions at work."
