Embraceable You (Arr: Barry Galbraith)

I've always loved these arrangements by master guitarist Barry Galbraith. Over the last few years, I've had many of my students of all levels work on these. They are a great source for musicianship and a fantastic introduction to chord melody and solo playing. You can even use some of these as intros on gigs, or even play a few and make a medley for a solo performance. I took the liberty to change a few fingerings to facilitate open strings, and give a fuller sound to the guitar. Pay attention to your sound, the accuracy of the rhythms and string noises when shifting positions. Also, these are great to practice hybrid picking, just picking or fingerstyle. You'll hear me go from strummed chords, to plucked chords, to broken chords, to pluck chord and pick melody etc... These choices are all at the service of the arrangements.
