The martyred French village of Oradour-sur-Glane • RFI English

On 10 June 1944, SS soldiers destroyed the village of Oradour-sur-Glane, slaughtering 643 civilians. On the instructions of General De Gaulle it became a martyred village and has been preserved in its state of destruction as a reminder of Nazi barbarity.
