Silver Reed LK150 can still be bought new, and Singer LK100 is no longer manufactured. Both are similar plastic bed machine. The video shows some basic difference. Both are great machines for beginners. LK150 has 150 needles and more lever and function than LK100. Because it is new, the price is higher. Singer LK100 is often overlooked because it is only available second hand. It is actually a 9mm gauge machine like Brother 260. It can take a wide variety of yarn thickness. It is rather cheap to buy compared to LK150. Other similar plastic bed knitting machine for beginners are LK140, Brother KX350, 390, 400.
