MTG PREMODERN Top 10 Most Irritating Price Spikes! Time for some HEATED words

Today we’re diving into the second video — as promised — about the most irritating spikes we’ve seen in MTG Premodern. It follows the same line as the previous one on this topic. We’ll look at which cards, in my view, deserve their price tag and which ones are shamelessly inflated. And remember: time is the ultimate judge. So, let’s explore the spikes that frustrate players the most — expect furious rants and reality checks. Some prices are natural, but many are not: they’re artificial. And then there’s the big boil, the mother of all evils — the Reserved List. Legitimate, of course. The problem arises when unofficial organized play becomes mainstream. Will we ever see a Premodern Masters set or something similar? Maybe. The dream of every player? Gold‑border reprints (which are already legal in Premodern, practically) of all the most important cards. Reality? Probably reprints of cards not on the Reserved List, like Decree of Silence. But we’ll talk more about that in the future. For now, I’ve seen too many things I really didn’t like. Is it more important to be honest and serious, or just popular? DISCLAIMER Let’s keep it short: thank goodness I can say whatever I want. My job is something else — not making videos, at least for now. So I’m 100 % free to speak my mind. You may like it or not, but if you can’t accept that someone without conflicts of interest has a different opinion, maybe you’re the problem. I appreciate opinions based on facts and integrity, no gullible people here. Here’s my point: is it really mandatory to be happy when card prices go up? To play MTG Premodern — or MTG in general — do we really have to think like major shareholders? My answer, as a player, has always been a cold, hard NO. I own plenty of cards, their value is skyrocketing, I have my decks ready to play. Am I happy? No, not at all! There’s always been a financial side to Magic — buying and selling cards is fine. But I think no one has ever gone this far. Too far. Plaguebearer at $80? I’ve got blood in my eyes. As I said before, high prices have always limited access to a few decks. The issue now is artificially induced supply shortages, not real demand. And worse — prices don’t just block a few decks; they discourage playing many decks, leaving only a handful of viable options. In this video, I’ll discuss which cards have real demand — because many don’t. Their prices are manipulated, and that’s the key point. I fear many people are in complete denial about it. This situation is extremely negative for anyone who cares about the game. Is there still freedom to say it? Or will someone get offended? If someone does, that’s their problem. This channel is by a player, for players. And today, I see a reality where Premodern tournaments have little reason to grow, especially at the local level. This thing is slowly turning into MTG Old School. Some will keep enjoying it, but it doesn't welcome newcomers anymore. Unless something will change, sooner or later. 00:00 Disclaimer, 02:07 How to group cards 03:31 Reserved list, expensive cards 11.47 Reserved list, starting from low 15:56 Not Reserved, lack of supply (real domand/artificial) 19:27 Spiked without lack of supply (rarely played, reprints) 25:56 TOP 10 MOST OBNOXIOUS SPIKES MTG Premodern market watch, MTG finance, MTG buy and sell, MTG price spikes, MTG Reserved List, MTG Premodern gameplay commentary, MTG Premodern home brew, MTG Premodern deck guide, MTG Premodern power rankings, MTG Premodern top 10 cards, MTG Premodern tournament top 8 decklists, MTG Premodern metagame analysis, MTG Premodern deck tech, MTG Premodern top 10 decks, MTG Premodern speculation, MTG Premodern price trends, MTG Premodern investment, MTG Premodern market crash, MTG Premodern collector tips, MTG Premodern gameplay, MTG Premodern format guide, MTG Premodern card spikes, MTG Premodern price watch, MTG Premodern buy list, MTG Premodern sell list, MTG Premodern trading, MTG Premodern finance analysis, MTG Premodern deck building, MTG Premodern homebrew decks, MTG Premodern power level, MTG Premodern top cards, MTG Premodern gameplay breakdown, MTG Premodern commentary, MTG Premodern market trends, MTG Premodern speculation watch, MTG Premodern price tracker, MTG Premodern investment guide, MTG Premodern deck showcase, MTG Premodern gameplay highlights, MTG Premodern tournament coverage, MTG Premodern decklists, MTG Premodern top 8 decks, MTG Premodern finance watch.
