How This Game Became my Favourite Shooter of All Time

And man, did it have competition. Twitch:   / cryobeats   Discord:   / discord   Twitter:   / cryobeatyt   Instagram:   / cryobeat   --- ULTRAKILL is easily my favourite FPS game, and I've loved plenty of multiplayer and singleplayer FPS in the past, yet some indie shooter that's still in early access shot its way to the top almost instantly. I don't care who you are, you should give it a try. Also, though I don't talk about it in this video, Layer 8, "FRAUD" just released. This video was planned for a while and supposed to come out before FRAUD released, but as I was focusing on other projects a bit more, Layer 8 was suddenly announced to be actually releasing. And so, I got to work on finishing the video. Also also, I did just stream a full playthrough of FRAUD. If you guys wanted, I could edit it up (each stage on Violent took close to an hour each except 8-4!) and upload that, but any longform scripted kinda videos might wait for the entirety of Act III. Honestly, there's so much more I could talk about with ULTRAKILL, such as the god-tier music which I only briefly touch on in this video, and of course, maybe I could talk about FRAUD or even Act III when it releases. The video that originally got me to play ULTRAKILL was a video from Rank10YGO as a long-time fan, and though I would have watched that a long time ago, I realise a lot of my points are pretty similar to his. I think this only makes sense given it was his summarisation of the game's charm points that got me very interested, and those same cool aspects of the game are ones I, too, will end up celebrating as they lived up to my expectations and far beyond them. I want to make far more videos on games that aren't League of Legends, my current main game, even if that's totally selfish of me to do as a passion project every now and then. Where here I've celebrated the carnage of ULTRAKILL, my next video essay thing will be on the Flipside of that with a certain Colorful rhythm game and visual novel.
