I Planned A Haircut! Dementia Had Other Plans. 💜

Yesterday’s plan was simple… Cut Mama’s hair at the facility, then head out for some birthday photos. Well… that lasted about 30 seconds. 😂 The second I told her we were going out, she was READY. Right then. She never sat still for the haircut. But let me tell you… when Mama got dressed, she KNEW she was cute! And she showed up for these birthday pictures! Sometimes the plan doesn’t go as planned… and that’s okay. The memories are what matter. If you’re caring for someone living with dementia, you’ve probably learned that flexibility is part of the job. Some of the best moments happen when you let go of the schedule and just go with the flow.
