What We’re Missing in Concussion Recovery | Alexandra Wasti | TEDxQueensU

Despite existing research, there is still much we don’t know about brain injuries. In this TEDx talk, Alexandra Wasti addresses misconceptions about brain injuries, shares surprising facts many people haven’t heard, and proposes steps one can take to enhance their own recovery or the recovery of someone they know. Alexandra Wasti is an undergraduate student at Queen’s University and a research student in Dr. Robin Green’s Cognitive Neurorehabilitation Sciences Lab at University Health Network (UHN), where she studies concussions, also known as mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI). This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
