Let cook for 12-15 mins until you can split with a fork with very little effort. Drain potatoes in a colander but dont rinse them. Put potatoes back in the stockpot and simmer on very low heat for a few minutes while stirring to get out excess water. Pour potatoes into mixing bowl. Add garlic and onion powder. Use an electric whisk on lowest speed and pour milk into potato mixture gradually until potatoes are creamy. Add salt and pepper to tasted. Serve and top with fresh parsley, chives or scallions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Starch Solution Golden Gravy Recipe (Page 248) Preparation Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 10 minutes Servings: makes 2 ¼ cups 1 ½ cups vegetable broth ½ cup water 3 TBS soy sauce ½ teaspoon onion powder 1/4 cup brown rice flour Place the broth and water in a saucepan. Stir in the soy sauce and onion powder. Bring to a boil. Add the brown rice flour a tablespoon at a time and stir in well.
