1983 6 day Tramp, in the Tararua Ranges

This is another from my 8mm movie collection. It starts at the Kiriwhakapapa Road-end, where Shirley and Mary have dropped off the 6 Family group, for their 6-day Tramp. The party of 6 are Myself and 2 sons, Brett and Ricky. My brother Bob and his son Peter and another nephew John Lowe. Our tramp takes us up to the Blue Range Hut for the first night, then down to the Waingawa River to Cow Creek Hut, where we stay for 3 nights. We then tramp to the Mitre Flats Hut for an overnight stop, before tramping out to the Waingawa Road-end, where we spend the night under "Canvas". We get picked up by Shirley and Mary on the Saturday. January 29th.
