Sebecidae: The Successors To The Dinosaurs
Sebecidae was a clade of reptiles that survived the K–Pg extinction event. While distantly related to crocodilians, they were ecologically closer to the dinosaurs. In the aftermath of the catastrophe, the sebecids quickly replaced them, becoming the top predators in prehistoric South America. Some sebecids even larger than any terrestrial predator since the dinosaurs. 00:00 - Introduction 01:37 - Anatomy 02:51 - Size 05:07 - Metabolism 06:13 - Hunting Strategy 07:14 - Semi-Aquatic Sebecids 07:56 - Evolution 09:30 - European and African Sebecids 11:31 - Extinction 13:08 - Conclusion and Outro
