What Tracks are Eligible for the next Mario Kart?

With the wrapup of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the rearview, the next questions naturally are going to be about the future of the series. I've questioned recently if "a return to form" is even possible at this point regarding future retro selections - and the answer is yes, but also no. As I've sat on this video and let the ideas simmered a bit, I have questioned my line of reasoning a bit here. I do believe they'll want to have more than 16 returning tracks - and while making predictions this way is certainly possible, it also feels quite limited. But still, there are a lot of interesting / worthwhile ideas here, so I wanted to upload and share anyway. I still think the most likely tracks are the ones that have not yet returned - however I do think that courses that weren't in Mario Kart 8 might be relevant retro courses as well. I am the type that will let my opinions update. We'll explore this all more in the followup video.
