We’ve been surviving deep in the Amazon jungle of Suriname for 26 days as we attempt to be the first in history to travel the entire length of the Coppename River – from its previously uncharted, remote source, all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The jungle has tested us every single day... torrential rain, dangerous rapids, swarms of insects, and exhausting treks through dense terrain. But nothing could have prepared us for what happened next… While making our way deeper into untouched wilderness, we came face-to-face with one of the rarest sights in the Amazon... a wild jaguar.
