Alex Partridge reflects on Rowing, Wellbeing and Mental Health in Crossy's Corner | Part 1
A raw talent Alex's rowing career includes two Olympic medals (Silver in 2008 & Bronze in 2012) as well as six Senior World Championship medals including three golds! Alex recently chose to speak out about his battles with positive mental health since leaving the sport and about the lack of support for athletes when they leave high performance training environments, but also about how he's found a path through counselling and by focusing on things that support positive mental health to a better quality of life. With a focus on helping people forming part of Alex's strategy for better mental health, he currently works for Wagestream (https://wagestream.com), a company promoting financial wellness as well as recently being accepted as a mentor on the True Athlete Project (https://www.thetrueathleteproject.org) a global athlete to athlete mentoring programme.
