Moment Venezuela earthquake survivor is pulled out of rubble after eight days trapped

A man has been pulled from the rubble of a building by rescue teams eight days after devastating earthquakes struck Venezuela in a “miraculous” operation. Hernán Alberto Gil Flores, 43, was buried under 29ft of debris from a collapsed shopping centre parking lot in La Guaira, the area worst hit when two earthquakes hit in quick succession last Wednesday, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude.
