Kimber more accurate than Les Baer? 1911 .45acp load testing fun.
I'm trying to figure out the most accurate and effective loads for my two combat 1911s. The first is a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special Gen II. It is #26 of only 65 ever made. The other is a Kimber Crimson Carry II which was my father's only carry pistol. This video shows me trying the Barnes Tac-XP 185gr bullet and the Hornady 200gr XTP bullet with mid-range loads of TiteGroup and Ramshot Silhouette powders to see what is the most accurate. Surprisingly, the Kimber is outperforming the Les Baer in accuracy.
