Solomon's Throne, Walls of Jerusalem National Park, Tasmania, Australia - Full Trail Hyperlapse

Solomon's Throne, Walls of Jerusalem National Park, Tasmania, Australia - Full Trail Hyperlapse hike November 2025. Started around 9:30am, trail starts ascending immediately from the car park and is a continual gradual ascent for the first hour or so (~500m ascent). Nothing too steep or technical, just consistently going up with odd undulating section here and there. The Wild Dog Creek campground just before the plateau has a toilet if needed. Once you crest over into the plateau the path is mostly flat from there with great views and scenery of the walls. There's a slight detour to view the Pool of Bethesda. At the end of the plateau there's a four way intersection at the Damascus Gate, went right to Solomon's Throne (didn't have time for The Temple). Rocky steps by the edge of the wall (watch for falling rocks) take you up to a steep chute which you have to climb up to get on top of the throne. Not overly difficult but still requires care. On top you have nearly 360 views of the Walls and Cradle Mountain in the distance. Return via same trail has good views of the wall and surrounding landscape until you're back in the treeline. Saw a couple of snakes and had a very close encounter with one that had climbed into a chest high bush to sun bake.
